Zeon to mass produce phase difference 3D TV Film

Zeon Corp will start mass producing a highly-productive phase difference film for LCDs. The phase difference film can be attached to a polarizing plate in a continuous manner by controlling the array direction of molecules and using a roller (roll-to-roll lamination). The new film is expected to streamline the manufacturing process and thus lower costs.

Zeon will build new facilities at a manufacturing plant in Toyama Prefecture, Japan, to have an annual production capacity of 15,000,000m² and start volume production in October 2011.
