Zecotek's Real-Time 3D2D Glass-Free System to Be Offered in more sizesZecotek Photonics today announced that its Real-Time
3D2D Display System will be extended to small and large screen versions
in order to meet emerging market demands. The Company is introducing 5
to 12 inch 3D displays for the transportation, personal computing and
gaming industries, and a 54 inch 3D display designed to meet the
expected demand projected for industrial, medical, and home
entertainment markets. The Company's 32 inch display currently on
demonstration in its Singapore Lab offers viewers true 3D depth
perception with 80 concurrent perspectives and an effective 3D viewing
angle of more than 40 degrees.
Dr. A.F. Zerrouk, Zecotek's CEO, said . "I firmly believe that our Real-Time 3D2D Display System offers one of the only scalable, cost-effective, high performance, and importantly, glasses-free 3D display solutions to the market. We are particularly excited by the potential growth opportunities for both small and large display units. Our 5 to 12 inch versions will be compatible with presently available OLED screens, which will provide for small, flat display units for airlines, motor vehicles and personal computing, and our large screen displays will be used for everything from advertising to gaming to medical imaging." Zecotek's Real-Time 3D2D Display System, based on the auto-stereoscopic principle, but with substantial innovative and patented improvements, represents a new generation of 3D displays. It is aimed at meeting the needs for both mass market and professional use. Its design provides for multi-user, multi-view, freedom of movement, simultaneous 2D and 3D, high resolution (1024x768), superior image dynamic range in 2D mode, common brightness, and compatibility with existing applications. Furthermore, while competing displays have, for example, a 9 view system with 1094x1080 resolution which actually produces a 214x1080 resolution for each of the 9 views, Zecotek's Real-Time 3D2D Display System maintains full 1024x768 resolution through 80 views.
