Weak 3D TV sales in the US, but strong ones in JapanThere are reports that 3D TV sales in the US are weak. Retailers expected to sell a lot of 3D TVs in the holiday season, but were disappointed by the actual sales. We got good news from Japan though. They say that 23% of TVs (40" or larger) sold in December were 3D (in August, this was below 3%). In fact, almost 57% of all Blu-ray recorders sold were 3D enabled (up from 7% in September!). Japan seems to be the only market where people actually embrace 3D TVs.
