Panasonic are now offering Avatar on Blu-ray 3D - for people who buy their 3D TVs. These are bundles that include the Avatar copy, a Viera VT25 plasma 3D TV, two pairs of active-shutter glasses and a DMP-BDT100 Blu-ray player. Panasonic are currently offering four bundles, according to the TV size: The 42" TV costs $1429, 50" costs $1789, 54" costs $2999 and 58" costs $3399. You can already find copies of Avatar 3D Blu-ray on eBay - for $160 to $400.

DVDFab releases the first Blu-ray 3D ripper softwareDVDFab released the first Blu-ray 3D ripper software (named, obviously, the DVDFab Blu-ray 3D Ripper). It can rip any Blu-ray 3D content and output into AVI, MP4, WMV or MKV. 3D is supported in several formats (side-by-side and left/right or top/bottom 3D type).
