Vizio announces 3D LCD TVs

Vizio has announced a their new LCD series, the XVT Pro HDTV. These have LED backlighting, 3D TV (at full HD 1080p) support, built-in HD wireless and Smart-Dimming tech.

For 3D support, the sets will utilize Sensio 3D technology that delivers 3D content over conventional 2D infrastructure. Viewers can view compatible 3D content wearing optional XpanD active-shutter glasses (sold separately).

The TVs will ship in August. The 72" (480Hz) HD 3D TV will cost $3,500.The 55" one will cost $2,500, and the 47" will go for $2,000.

Sensio raised 10M$

Sensio technologies announced that it has raised $10 million. Earlier this year, Sensio has signed deals with Hyundai and Sagem.

Cyberlink to integrate Sensio's 3D decoder software into their PowerDVD software

Cyberlink will integrate Sensio's 3D software (the S3D software decoder) into their PowerDVD video player software. This will enable users to view movies in 3D. Cyberlink and Sensio plan to demonstrate this in CES 2010 (January). 

Sensio raises 3M$

Sensio said they raised over 3M$  through the sale of purchase warrants. Just last week Sensio announced that Hyundai have licensed their technology to be integrated into 3D TVs.

Hyundai will integrate Sensio's 3D tech into their 3D TVs

Sensio technologies announced today that they have have signed a licensing agreement with Hyundai IT. Hyundai will use Sensio's technology in their LCD HD 3D TVs. These TVs will be available in the fall of 2009 in the US, EU and Asia markets.
