Sharp develops a 3D HD camera for mobile devicesSharp has developed a HD (720p) 3D camera aimed for mobile devices (smartphones, cameras, etc.). They will start sampling it in July, and will begin mass production towards the end of 2010. The camera incorporates functions to process the image data output by the left and right cameras, including Color Synchronizing Processing to adjust color and brightness, Timing Synchronizing Processing to synchronize the timing of the video signals, and Optical Axis Control Processing to correct positioning. Sharp is planning to open "new 3D markets" including small/medium-size and large-size 3D LCDs and 3D input device technologies such as 3D camera modules. Via Engadget
