Samsung reduces the price of the 3D starter kit by $50 (to $299)

Samsung has reduced the price of the 3D starter kit: It is now shipping for $299 (down $50). The kit includes two pairs of active-shutter 3D glasses and a 3D Blu-ray movie (monsters and aliens). You can also get it for free if you buy Samsung's new Blu-ray players (BD-6800 or BD-7900).

If you want to actually use this, you'd need a 3D TV that includes a 3D emitter (such as the Samsung C7000) and a 3D Blu-ray player.
