Panasonic to release a consumer 3D camcorder next week?

Update: The camera is the HDC-SD750, which is actually an existing model with 3D conversion lens built-in.

According to Engadget, there are some rumors that Panasonic is set to release a new consumer-level 3D camcorder - as early as next week. It'll be about the same size as a normal camcorder, with two lenses. It'll cost much less than professional models, of course.

Currently the only 3D camcorder is the Aiptek i2 that has two 5mp CCDs and is capable of recording 720p video. The i2 will cost $199.99 when it launches on August 15th. You can pre-order it now over at Amazon.com.
