Nvidia are showing their new 3D blu-ray system, which should be unveiled officially at CES 2010. They display it using a new upcoming Acer LCD (24" G245 which supports 120Hz). The system also uses active-shutter LCD glasses. 3D Blu-ray is encoded in a new MVC-AVC format, which passes through a regular 1080p video for incompatible hardware, but provides a 3D image for the software and decode hardware capable of sussing it out.
