New research estimates that by 2014, 80% of TVs sold in the US will be 3D TVsA new research by Parks Associates finds that by 2014, 80% of TVs sold in the US will be 3D TVs. Currently, there's only a modest increase in 3D TV awareness, and the viability of 3D depends on premium video content and not on-off events (such as the world cup). Only 13% of US households are familiar with 3D TVs (up from 10% in the previous quarter). In some cases, 48% of those are willing to pay for 3D content. via TMC.Net
