Microtips Technology announced a new LCD glass to be used in 3D glasses. The new glasses offer high speed switching and can be cut to meet any required size or shape.
The new glass offers:
- Switch time with 10-90% of white light through in 1.3~1.5ms.
- Switch time with 90-10% of white light through in 0.2ms.
- Initial delay from open-10% of white light through in 0.7ms.
- Head-on extinction ratio of white light (LCD R+G+B) is 2000:1
- Head-on extinction ratio of worst R: 475:1, G: 1375:1, and B: 501:1.
- 70% Transmissivity for aligned polarized white light.
- Power dissipation switching 120Hz, 2.4ms
- Off-angle extinction ratio of white light 20° left through right lens is 200:1 and 1000:1 at 15°
- Off angle extinction ratio of white light 25° downward is 200:1 and 1000:1 at 15°
