InnoVision developed a 3D color holographic displayInnoVision Labs has developed a new 3D color holographic display called "HoloAD Diamond Series" - which can be viewed from any direction. This display is actually shipping now. It can play back video (.FLV files) via a USB disk-on-key. There are two models - the "DS3_Queen" which has a VGA resolution, weights 16Kg and consumes 200W. The "DS_King" supports 1280x1024, consumes 450W and weights 95Kg (!).
The idea is simple - on the upper plate there are 3 displays, and a glass panel is installed at an angle so it reflects the images shown by the 3 displays. The upper plate is shown in the image below:
