AUO adpots Glass Pattern Retarder (GPR) passive 3D technology

AUO announced it has adopted Glass Pattern Retarder (GPR) technology for their passive 3D panels (ranging from 36" to 71"). AUO will be showing a 71" 21:9 ultrawide LCD panel with the new GPR technology, which is already in mass production.

AUO is also showing a new 65" Full-HD 3D display aimed for gaming - with an advanced and accurate TOF (Time-of-Flight Camera) 3D camera detecting the player's position and motion data, so that the software creates interactive 3D images accordingly. Players can see the real time stereoscopic images and touch or interact with the images accurately without wearing any accessories.
