3D TV shipments to reach 50 million in 2015, says ABI Research

ABI Research that says the 3D TV market will take a couple of years to 'establish itself', and will start growing quickly in 2013. By 2015, shipments will reach about 50 million.

According to ABI, the market will take some time to take off because 3D TV experience is not as good as in the cinema, and the glasses are frustrating and expensive. Lack of content is also an inhibitor. Gaming, however, "makes a lot of sense for 3D".
