3D players

Panasonic's DMP-BDT100 is a budget 3D Blu-ray player. It has a single-HDMI out that supports 3D, Viera Cast features and high quality playback.

The DMP-BDT100 will ship in August, no pricing info yet.

Samsung's range of 3D Blu-ray players all support 3D via HDMI 1.4 outputs. The C5900 is the budget model, it's available now and costs $206. The C6800 includes a 1B hard-disk and is pretty much similar to the older C6900 (but without the transparent top). It costs $250, and available for pre-order. The C7900 adds another HDMI 1.4 output (which is useful with older receivers). It costs $400 and is ready for pre-order.

Samsung BD-C5900

Both the C6800 and the C7900 currently come with a free Samsung 3D Starter-Kit (worth $350). So buying now might be a good idea...

Shar's BD-HDW70/700 are 3D Blu-ray players that also include DVR - and can record two channels in the same time. They include a 1TB hard disc.

We do not have any pricing information or release date on those yet.

Denon's DBP-2011UDCI and DBP-1611UD are Blu-ray players that support DVD-Audio and SACD. 3D Blu-ray will be supported via a firmware update (they got HDMI 1.4a outputs). They also supports Netflix, DLNA and YouTube streaming. The 2011UDCI also features the latest Anchor Bay Technologies decoding Engine and Scalar, as well as all-new Burr-Brown 32-Bit, 192-kHz Audio DACs on all channels for high-definition audio playback.

Denon DBP-1611UD

The DBP-1611UD will cost $399 when it's released in June. The DBP-2011UDCI will cost $799 in August.

LG's BX580 is a network 3D blu-ray with HDMI (v 1.4), Wi-Fi, DLNA, external HDD support, NetCast and a USB connector. The BX580 costs $296, and is now shipping. You can buy it now over at Amazon.com.

The DMBWT is a series of 3D Blu-ray players and recorders. The come with internal hard-disk 750GB (DMR-BWT1000), 1TB (DMR-BWT2000) and 2TB (DMR-BWT3000). They feature an analog and digital TV tuners, HDMI Output, i.Link, SDXC memory card slot and a VIERA Link. You can also burn to CDs, DVDs and BR discs.
